As part of Global Corporate Affairs & Marketing (GCAM), we are responsible for managing the company's brand and creating content that articulates our business and the work we do. We help communicate Pearson's unique position as the world's leading learning company while building strong and lasting relationships globally with our customers, press, society, and other stakeholders and ensuring our employees are informed about its priorities and goals. We create good relationships and tell good stories aligned to a global narrative that support Pearson's business and reputation growth.

The Corporate Affairs Specialist position will play a vital role in supporting the Corporate Affairs LatAm leadership, to whom you will report directly. It will support the company's day-to-day operations and strategic objectives, helping to bring to life the content and narrative that builds Pearson's brand reputation - who we are, what we do, and how that contributes on a global scale. The role will involve managing brand initiatives, employee engagement, administrative functions, supporting the Diversity & Inclusion committee and special projects. This role is for someone who can be proactive working closely with all of the company's business lines locally and with global team members on various Communications and Branding initiatives, which offers an excellent opportunity for career development and growth in a highly dynamic and evolving work environment.

The role requires creativity, energy, drive, and a positive attitude combined with diligence and vigilance. As well as excellent writing, a high level of organization and detail, strong time management, leadership, and collaboration skills.



Principais atividades:

Digital Platforms: support in managing and executing a content strategy for LinkedIn to tell Pearson's story and build its employer brand.
Content distribution: support the execution of the brand strategy through its various channels (internal and external).Suggest, draft and coordinate posts on internal channels to ensure consistent voice, including internal social network (Neo), virtual events with employees (Via Zoom), and newsletters. Assist in creating an internal communications content plan to support the local leadership team, HR team, and Diversity & Inclusion Committee (Pearson for Todxs). As well as identifying internal brand ambassadors.
Production and content support: This may include working with leadership on stories, videos and working with the employer brand on proprietary channels and other platforms. Provide quality assurance, including review, to ensure consistent messaging from all fronts.
Brand initiatives: support brand building projects in collaboration with different internal groups, including HR / Recruitment and the Global Branding team.
Partners and processes: help develop and manage relationships with various internal partners and the external Corporate Communications agency to ensure projects stay on time, on budget, and aligned to business goals.
Project Management: coordinate an editorial calendar and critical projects with other Marketing, HR, and Diversity & Inclusion functions. Manage proactive media relations for Pearson’s major corporate initiatives, thought leadership, critical product announcements and innovation story.
Diversity & Inclusion: One of the company's overall goals and responsibilities. Support in the implementation and dissemination of initiatives, projects, and programs through a communication strategy. In addition to providing support in ensuring inclusive and representative communication.
Support the Corporate Affairs leadership in the delivery and operation of an effective communications strategy.



Se você possui:

Fluent English;
Higher education in journalism, public relations, or social communication;
Flexibility to adapt work and priorities to changing scenarios;
Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams;
Ability to self-manage, prioritize and work independently with moderate supervision, and collaborate extensively with team members and across functions to achieve results;
Proven aptitude to prioritize and maintain a high quality of work. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
Ability to assist in managing third-party vendors to ensure timelines are met;
Strategic thinking and can anticipate demands. Proactive beyond the established scope of responsibilities towards the strategy of the area;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required.



Será desejável:

Spanish;
Knowledge of platforms for sending newsletters, social media, and SEO;
Experience in communication strategies for Diversity & Inclusion.
